The Saibatu Mansaray Journey had a chance to chat with the President-elect of the student union of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM). Anthony Sannoh, a 3rd year student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Sector Management came out the victor of the first ever online electoral process in the history of Sierra Leone’s university student union government elections. His passion, servant leadership, and can-do and will deliver attitude was impressive. In our discussion he made promises that he has already begun to deliver on and we will continue to follow his political journey.

About Our Guest

Anthony Sannoh is presently a third year student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Sector Management at the Institute of Public Administration and Management and is the President-elect for the student union government. He is the founder of the Youth in Governance Advocacy Organization, Sierra Leone. The organization aims to serve and address issues affecting youths in the country as well promoting their inclusion in decision-making. Anthony is diligent and a visionary leader who lives a very principled and disciplined life. His leadership and desire to be of service to others started in primary school at Merewether Preparatory School where he was a prefect, class prefect at the Sierra Leone Grammar School for five academic years. He has been a games captain, President of the Literary and Debating Society, and President of the News Journal Club. In his religious life, he serves as Secretary-General of Altar Servers Union, St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Vice President of the Infant Jesus, is the Immediate Past Grand Knight, Knights and Ladies of Marshall 93. 

In college he has served as Former Special Assistant to the President (GLS Society), head of task force Sierra Leone Debating Council IPAM Chapter, Minister of Information and Communications, IPAM SU Government and socially he he was the nominee for the International Service Director and President, Rotary Club of Mount Aureol.
