EP 19: 7 Million Citizens and Only 20 Dentists - Inside Salone's Oral Health!

See this content in the original post

TSMJ has a major global health focus and today, I sat with Dr. Ahmed Al-Hassan Sheriff who happens to be one of the handful of dentists we have in Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is a country of 7M people, but yet our pool of dentists equate to no more than 20 all of which reside in the urban area and are general practitioners. Dr. Sheriff and I discuss this health disparity and its impacts on our population, especially our little ones and youth.

You don’t want to miss:

  • Dental health disparity

  • Resource Scarcity

  • Tips and raising awareness on good dental hygiene

Through my story and those of my amazing guests, I pray that our message touches the lives of people to be inspired, encouraged and informed all on all things faith, empowerment, global health, and beloved Mother Africa.
