This month of The Saibatu Mansaray Journey is about the work of some amazing women around the world. This episode we chat with a young Sudanese woman who at a young age has dedicated her life to empowering women and youth through education. Arwa Ahmed Elnour, believes that education is paramount in the vulnerable and marginalized population and that we all have a role to play in advocating for human rights especially the rights of the vulnerable.

Arwa Elnour was born and raised in Sudan and is currently working toward a master’s degree in sustainable development at Ahfad University For Women. As a Translator for 29 Institution for Content Creation, Arwa translates a variety of documents including literary, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materials. As a founder of the Strategy 4 you initiative, she is responsible for fundraising, working as a third party between the initiative and any external interested participants, and helping solve the education problems in the targeted communities all including the building the capacities of young people to grow informed and participate in the implementation of SDGs. Additionally, Arwa is passionate about women’s empowerment and peace building via education as she targets women and marginalized groups in her work .
