A Moment with Sierra leone’s beloved alim

I had the opportunity to chat with one of Sierra Leone’s finest and very active Islamic scholars to give us his perspective on Islam in Sierra Leone. This episode is a mixture of one of our local dialects and English. We chat about women in Islam, the unrelenting efforts of our youth, seeking Islamic knowledge and the Muslim community’s efforts to propagate Islam in their own small way. Islam is the dominant religion in Sierra Leone where the Muslim population is ranging between 70-80%.

You don’t want to miss:

  • The scholar and professor’s perspective on Islam in Sierra Leone

  • The way forward on advancing Islam

  • His journey to being an Alim

Through my story and those of my amazing guests, I pray that our message touches the lives of people to be inspired, encouraged and informed all on all things faith, empowerment, global health, and beloved Mother Africa.
